If your grout requires sealing after cleaning, it’s important to know which grout sealer to use.

So…which grout sealer should I use?

If you have already shopped for grout sealant, you likely know that the prices vary greatly.  You probably noticed pricing from $30 per gallon, all the way up to $100 per gallon.  Many times, choosing a mid-range product with such an expansive pricing gap is sufficient.  When it comes to sealing grout and tile, The Grout Medic uses only premium contractor sealing products.  Our penetrating grout sealer formula is the #1 recommendation by far, and will produce the most optimum results.  If you decide to try anything other than premium, penetrating formulas, you will not get a dependable or long-lasting finish.

If you have natural stone tile, which sealer is best?

What’s so special about our premium grout sealing?

First of all, it will not change the color of your grout.  When a clear, penetrating sealant is used, it will seep into the pores of your grout, but it won’t make your grout lines look darker, nor does it contain discoloring agents that might make it look lighter or dull.  Some homeowners make the mistake of choosing high-gloss formulas, much to their own future dismay.  The Grout Medic never recommends using high-gloss sealers.  What’s more, our preferred grout sealant is safe for use on natural tile, like slate, marble, travertine, and granite.  It will penetrate your natural tile to protect it from staining between cleanings without damage or a change in appearance!  It is also important to know that you should never use sealant on any type of man-made tile.

Can I seal my own grout and tile?

If you do choose to apply your own grout and/or tile sealer, be sure to use premium, penetrating sealant, like we use at The Grout Medic.  It is also imperative that your grout is thoroughly cleaned prior to sealing.  The best results can be achieved by our professional grout and tile technicians.  Our green grout and tile cleaning will blast away dirt particles and discoloration prior to sealing.  Once cleaned, we will apply our clear, deep-penetrating grout sealer, which will offer beautiful and long-lasting results for any tiled area in your home or business.  Our entire process, from your in-home consultation, through your project’s completion won’t take a lot of time out of your schedule.  We can provide a complete quote for your project in about a half-hour, and perform your project in one visit.  We invite you to put our experience to work for the health of your grout and tile!
