They removed broken and poorly bonded tiles, scraped the old mortar down to the concrete, and professionally replaced those tiles, cutting and fitting them exactly. Juan skillfully removed existing tiles
My jacuzzi tub pump motor stopped working and the 12"x12" external access to the pump provided by the builder was inadequate to reach the pump. I contacted The Grout Medic to inquire whether they could provide a suitable sized access via the front tub skirt. Mike provided me a complete cost estimate to cut a perimeter through the grout around the existing tiles, remove the backing, build an access held in place by magnets and caulk in the event the new pump needed to be replaced in the future. The technician, Juan, skillfully removed the existing tiles without damaging them. This was important since I did not have any spare tiles and the tile is no longer manufactured. Juan was very attentive to keeping the area tidy, cleaning up after the job was completed. He took the existing tiles with him to remove the backing and clean the tiles. He returned about a week later after the pump had been replaced and tested to install the new backing held in place with magnets. He reset the tiles and caulked around them to provide future access. He also repaired a small tile chip that occurred during removal at a pre-existing crack. When he completed his work, everything looked great. The tub skirt looked like it did originally. I would definitely recommend The Grout Medic if you are faced with challenging tile or grout repair projects.
