My shower is as good as new
"The shower in the garage apartment was leaking down into the garage. The plumber said the plumbing was fine. My favorite contractor consulted his tile guy, who said that we would have to rip out the whole shower and replace all the wallboard and tile and everything because water was leaking through the tiles. That would have been a huge job, on a shower that looked and otherwise worked perfectly fine. Based on a suggestion by Google Gemini when I asked it about my situation, I called the Grout Medic, and Amir came promptly to look at the shower. He knew what I had been told by the contractor before I even told him. I told him I had a shower in the garage apartment, and he filled in the rest, completely accurately. I guess it's a common situation where contractors want to use a leak as a basis to sell you a completely new bathroom. Amir could see where the leak probably was, and he proposed to regrout and reseal everything. His price was completely fair, even more so now that the excellent work has been completed. The technician he sent to do the work was very nice, and a hard worker who got the job done in several hours. A family member who looked at the job later thought that I had replaced all the tiles in the shower because they sparkled and looked brand new after the Grout Medic was done. That was a nice bonus. I waited a bit to leave the review because I wanted to make sure that we had no leaks, and we have none. Whereas one brief shower would lead to a solid trickle through the ceiling of the garage onto the garage floor, multiple showers now have produced not a single drip. For probably 1/25th of what I would have paid the contractor, my shower is as good as new. This is a great company, very kind, polite, hard-working people who I'm happy to pay. I've already contacted Amir about another shower in the house which isn't leaking but clearly needs a spruce up."
