You can't even tell it was ever replaced.
"I loved my experience with The Grout Medic of North Chicago. First of all, the employee that came in to do the repairs was on time. He was clean. He was professional and respectful. He came inside and covered his shoes immediately. He inspected the job and literally got to work. He already knew exactly what he was supposed to do. He had photographs to compare. I loved that process.
He kept everything clean, organized, and out of the way. He was very silent when he was working — not on his phone, wasn't playing music — just very focused and locked in.
I had the grout here, so he didn't have to pick out grout because I had a grout repair job, not a total custom tile laying in. I was worried about this because there's always concern that the old grout won't integrate new fresh grout. I was blown away by the quality and the seamlessness of the technician's work.
We had a corner base ceramic tile that was badly broken, and I was able to locate the replacement white ceramic tile for the corner. It took us a minute to figure out which corner pieces were going to line up to match the other corner pieces. You can't even tell now that it was ever replaced. It looks like it was originally there from the beginning. He did a beautiful job cutting the tile and making it perfect.
You cannot tell that we had grout put in 20 years ago, and I still have the grout color needed, and he laid it in and it looks brand new — the entire bathroom. Just such an immaculate, clean job. And it smelled fresh too, which makes no sense to me. It had a "new car smell," if there's a way to describe it like that.
The tech was quiet, calm, and didn't drop any tools. There were no crazy loud noises or lots of rush movements. Sometimes techs that are not meticulous make a lot of mistakes, and the way you can tell is there's lots of noise and movement and phone calls. None of that with Harry.
When he was finished, he asked me to inspect the work he did. It was perfect, and then he cleaned up and washed everything down, and I actually felt like I didn't even need to have my cleaning person come in after him, which was shocking to me. He took extra care on my floors by covering them, and he wasn't offended when I asked him to use my extra covering. We have really well-maintained wood floors, and there were no dents or grout splotches when he left.
Finally, when it came to the silicone sealant, I'm always expecting it to be sloppy work with silicone because a lot of people don't have the concentration to use their tools and line things up nicely and cleanly so that the silicone lines are straight and clean. Not this particular technician: he washed his hands before he did the work, and I inspected all the areas that he laid the white silicone and I didn't see any splotches. I'm very pleased with their work and I highly recommend them without reservation. I can only imagine what a brand-new tile and grout job would be like."
